Service to Others

Opportunities for Service to Others

Cooks are Needed  for Funeral Meals.  If you can help, see Sheila McDowell, or call the church office.  We also need cooks for the shut-in meals. See Jackie LeFevers

Church Nursery - This is such an important ministry to our visitors and members. Please consider volunteering once per month, or at least once every two months. Contact Rachel Bayless or Summer Brooks

"New Unto Others" Thrift Store -Workers Needed - If you can volunteer to work a few hours a week, call Joan Bingham 606-269-7774

Blessed Beginnings Daycare - This is a special ministry, and great for someone who is retired, desiring to help out somewhere, or just looking to fill an empty spot in your day. These kids always give back more than you can give them. Just help out whenever you can.  Contact Joan Bingham 248-1877, or Judy Amix 248-0557

Children's Church - Everyone knows how very important this ministry is to our church, as hundreds have been saved in the last few years. We are now located downstairs in the new addition, and begin by feeding the children before their services start. Please try to find time to fill in for one of the regulars now and then, so they can have the opportunity to attend the upstairs service.

Edith Caywood Library - You'll be amazed at all there is to be found in the new library across from the fellowship hall. If you are a book lover, this is a great opportunity for you. If you have books or other items to donate, or wish to volunteer, contact: Sheila Carmical or Dami Carter, or call the church office: 248-1678

Outreach Visitation Ministry -  Bus workers and anyone interested meet at 10:00am on Saturday morning.  After that, they go out in the community and represent the church in various methods of ministry. The only way you'll know how much fun this is, is to come and try it.

TV Dinners (Travelers and Visitors) Meals will be served after the morning service on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month.  If you would like to help cook in this great ministry, see Sandy Moore.

Bus Drivers and Captains- Some drivers are needed with a CDL license, and captains help keep the kids organized and entertained. This ministry will really grow on you, as you see the joy on the kids's faces, and see them come to Christ because you cared enough to go.

Meals for the Homebound - Once a month, we will gather in home cooked food and take an evening meal to our shut-ins.  If you are interested in helping to cook, see Jackie LeFevers or Joan Bingham.
