Our Children’s Church is blessed to have our own new
sanctuary that opened in November, 2008.
Services
Children’s Church has a full Church service on Sunday morning
during the regular morning worship service. We have brief object lessons from
volunteer workers, and the children eat a snack and have restroom break. Then
they go to the Children’s Sanctuary for singing and a preached message, where
children have the opportunity to make a decision for the Lord. Our Children’s
Church is blessed to have our own new sanctuary that just opened in November.
Outreach
Children’s
Church workers are in constant contact with Visitation captains and bus drivers.
The bus drivers are the vital links between children’s families and Church
activities. If a child becomes a Christian, the Pastor then counsels the child
concerning baptism. The bus driver is informed, who then tells the parent and
asks permission for baptism, invites family members to the baptism, etc.
Children’s Church workers, bus drivers and visitation captains work together as
a team to reach Appalachian children with the glorious Gospel of Christ.
Results:
Over the past five years,
we have been privileged to see over 500 children accept Jesus Christ as their
personal Lord and Savior. Of that number, approximately 75% have followed the
Lord in believers Baptism. We are constantly trying to Disciple these new
church members, teaching them in Children’s Church and directing them to the
appropriate Sunday School class.
